Ana Anest is a professional artist who
works primarily in oil on canvas. Her

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from
the University of Southern Mississippi
and a Master of Arts from the
University of Cincinnati. Her work is

Visionary Art is a difficult genre of art to define by many
visual queues (compared to say, identifying something
like Abstract Expressionism). Instead, to get a better
understanding of it, it may be easier to focus on the
subjects it explores.
Ana Anest's paintings, drawings and sculptures are
variations on several themes: individual identity and
collective identity (and the search for both),
interrelationships between: people and the natural
environment, between the terrestrial and the cosmic,
between history, the present and the future.
